VIT inks MoU with CSIR4PI on cyber security, AI, data analytics

Vellore: Vellore Institute of Technology has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CSIR Fourth Paradigm Institute (CSIR4PI) a research institution in the areas of developing modelling approaches for illuminating the structure and evolution of complex systems.

A press note said the MoU will pave the way for joint research in the areas of cyber security, data analytics, artificial intelligence, high performance computing and data science. Through this MoU, both the institutes in the areas of higher education and research respectively would work together on consultancy, research and development projects, students, faculty exchange programmes and joint guidance of the students.

The MoU was signed and exchanged by Anand A Samuel, vice chancellor of VIT and Vidyadhar Y Mudkavi, head of CSIR4PI. Aswani Kumar Cherukuri, dean, School of Information Technology and Engineering, VIT, scientists from CSIR4PI Institute, professors of VIT were also present during this MoU Exchange. CSIR4PI was earlier called as CSIR Centre for Mathematical Modelling and Computer Simulation – CSIR-CMMACS.
