Kamal to tour TN from May

Chennai: Makkal Needhi Maiam chief Kamal Haasan will tour various districts of Tamilnadu and meet general public beginning this May.

According to sources, Kamal Haasan will tour on 16 May (Kanyakumari), 17 May (Tuticorin), 18 May (Tirunelveli and Nagercoil). Following that he will visit on 8 June (Tirupur), 9 June (Nilgiri) and 10 June (Coimbatore). He will meet and interact with general public and party cadre.

Meanwhile Makkal Needhi Maiam’s first meeting of the west zone of Tamilnadu comprising nine districts viz, Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, took place on 29 April in Coimbatore.

450 Makkal Needhi Maiam party members from various fields participated in this meet and among them over 30 members were women.

MNM party core committee members Bharathi Krishnakumar, Arunachalam A, Thangavelu participated in the meet and various topics of importance such as membership drive, participating in Gram Panchayats were discussed and a brief presentation about Maiam Whistle App was also delivered.

Makkal Needhi Maiam Party President Kamal Haasan joined the meet via video conferencing. He spoke about the Maiam Whistle app and Gram Panchayat in detail.
