Humsafar Express to link Nellai with Gandhidham

Chennai: The regular Humsafar Express train connecting Tirunelveli with Gandhidham in Gujarat has commenced its services. Sources from the Southern Railway point out that service of train No. 19424 Gandhidham - Tirunelveli began today.

The service of train No. 19423 Tirunelveli - Gandhidham will begin on 19 July (Thursday).

Train No.19423 Tirunelveli - Gandhidham weekly Humsafar Express will leave Tirunelveli at 7.45 am on Thursdays and reach Gandhidham at 6.40 am on Saturdays.

Train No. 19424 Gandhidham - Tirunelveli weekly Humsafar Express will leave Gandhidham at 1.50 pm on Mondays and reach Tirunelveli at 11.30 am on Wednesdays.

The sources further point out that the composition of these trains will have 16 AC 3tier coaches. Nagercoil Town, Thiruvananthapuram Central, Ernakulam, Shoranur, Kozhikode, Mangalore Jn., Karwar, Madgaon, Ratnagiri, Panvel, Vasai Road, Surat, Vadodara and Ahmedabad Jn are the stoppages for it.

While the inaugural special of these trains were flagged off on 5 July (Gandhidham - Tirunelveli) and 8 July (Tirunelveli - Gandhidham) respectively, advance reservations for train No. 19423 Tirunelveli - Gandhidham weekly Humsafar Express has commenced at 8 am on 14 July.
