Coimbatore: The PMK has demanded that Chief Minister K Palaniswami convene an all-party meeting immediately and exert pressure on Karnataka and the Centre to get the State's water share to save the crop in the delta districts.

Party MP Anbumani Ramadoss claimed that Karnataka has 31 tmc feet of water in the dams, of which they should release at least 10 tmc feet to Tamil Nadu.

On the bribery charges against the vice-chancellor of Bharathiar University, A Ganapathy, Anbumani alleged that corruption prevailed in almost all universities in the State.

He said there should be a CBI probe into instances of alleged corruption in the university in the last 15 years.

Ganapathy was arrested on 3 February for allegedly accepting Rs 30 lakh as bribe from an aspirant for the post of assistant professor.
