Actress case: ‘Pulsar’ Suni moved to Kovai

Coimbatore: The police team probing the abduction and sexual harassment of Malayalam actress launched a search to trace the person who had accompanied ‘Pulsar’ Suni, the key accused in the case, and Vijesh, his accomplice, during their stay in Coimbatore.

According to reports, a police team headed by K G Babu Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Aluva, arrived in Coimbatore with the two accused on Sunday morning. According to sources, there was a third man with Suni and Vijesh whose identity is yet to be ascertained.

The trio had sought shelter in the rented house of one Kannur native Charlie, a resident of Sri Ram Nagar of Peelamedu in Coimbatore. Efforts were said to be on to trace Charlie, who has gone into hiding.

Officials said Charlie had left the house without informing his roommates on Thursday, the day Suni and Vijesh were arrested while attempting to surrender before the ACJM court here. The police team also collected statements of the house owner and neighbours. The team was assisted by offi cers from the Coimbatore city police.
