TNCA: Hemalatha knocks down Red Rangers

Chennai: Riding on skipper D Hemalatha's 157 off 126 balls, Yellow Challengers romped to a huge 226-run win over Red Rangers in the TNCA-Indian Bank Trophy for women here.

Hemalatha's knock consisted of 18 fours and two sixes as she added 173 runs in 165 balls for the third wicket with S Swathi who made 47.

Yellow Challengers set its opponent a daunting target of 329 in 50 overs but Red Rangers was bowled out for 112 with none of the batswomen making any major contribution.

Hemalatha picked two wickets to complete a good all-round show.
