Chennai: Second-placed Hindustan Eagles played out a 1-1 draw with Income-Tax Recreation Club in the CFA Senior Division League football match at the Integral Coach Factory Stadium here.

The Eagles started off on a positive note with left-winger Rajaganapathy making probing runs in the left flank of the Income-Tax half. Hindustan broke the deadlock in the 15th minute when Cletus converted.

Rajaganapathy had put the ball into the 18-yardbox where Cletus got the better of four defenders and then slotted the ball into the bottom right corner of the net.

Income-Tax equalised against the run of play in the 69th minute with Bebitto finishing a neat cross from the right side. Despite creating numerous efforts in the final third, Eagles failed to test the Income-Tax goalkeeper after that. Both teams settled for a point.
