HCL unveils training programme in the city

Chennai: HCL technologies announced TechBee which is an early career training programme for the school students who have completed Higher Secondary exams.

HCL The programme is specially meant for students who aspire to become software engineer.

Speaking at the launch here Thursday, HCL Technologies, vice president, Srimathi Shivashankar said, "We are excited to unveil TechBee in Chennai. The first batch of the program was launched in Madurai and Lucknow last month. The  programme will prepare these students technically and professionally for jobs in software engineering with us. This effort from HCL will enable students with early career aspirations to become self sufficient and also pursue higher education. We are looking forward to working with local schools across Chennai and Tamilnadu."

Candidates who secured minimum 85 per cent marks with Maths as a core subject can avail this course. The company will offers counseling session about the syllabus or agenda of the entire program and the program would provide a  combination of academic training for nine months and practical training on job for three months.

A stipend of Rs 10000 per month during the first year of training. "At present, the programme is open to +2 completed students alone. Through this program, students will be learning the topic related to App development, testing, IoT and gaming. Jobs are assured for the students pursuing the course. Students scoring 90 per cent and above will get scholarship to study the entire program," she added.
