With the Apple event to be held in the coming week, the firm has released iOS 11 beta 8 to registered developers. This software can be downloaded over-the-air or through Apple’s Developer Center. What's new? Both iPhone and iPad users are happy to hear all of the new features, including a different and clearer voice for Siri, a revamped Control Center, a new app drawer in messages, a new look to the App Store.

The new OS brought in happiness to iPad owners as Apple has truly taken an important and needed step forward. The biggest addition in iOS 11 is drag and drop capability of items including apps, documents, photos and text. Apple has finally made it easy to handle files stored on iPad and other locations.

Another new feature is the Dock. You can load the area up with a maximum of 13 apps, and they are always accessible at any time with a quick swipe up. A longer swipe up from the bottom of the screen will launch the new App Switcher. The inspiration has come in from the Launchpad of the Mac. Slide Over and Split View are also getting supercharged. Adding more to this a second app that can now be opened directly from the Dock.

Refreshed Icons

In iOS 11 beta 4, it changed the look of three native apps, Contacts, Reminders, and Notes.

Notification tweaks

On the Notification Center (when locked), you can now swipe left on a notification to bring up options to clear it or view it. When you click on a notification, a new screen will ask you to log into your phone via Touch ID.

App updates

You can now refresh App store update tab by pulling down on the screen.

Apple has added the AirDrop settings to a dedicated section of the settings app.  From there, you can decide whether to share files with contacts only, everyone or turn the feature off.

In a fortnight, people can get a clearer picture on what the billion dollar company has done, with the expected launch of new iPhone, iPad, Mac, OS and much more.
