New Delhi: Over a dozen Rajya Sabha members, including senior Congress leader P Chidambaram and BJP's Roopa Ganguly were in the gallery of the Lok Sabha to witness the debate on the no-confidence motion against the Modi government.

This is the first time that a no-confidence motion has been moved in the Lok Sabha since the BJP-led dispensation came to power four years ago.

Among those present in the gallery were Rajeev Gowda of the Congress and G V L Narasimha Rao of the BJP.

Ganguly was even seen tapping her chair when her party colleague Rakesh Agarwal listed out the NDA government's achievements in the last four years.

The Rajya Sabha was later adjourned for the day due to lack of quorum.
