Honor 9N launched with mirror screen and bike safety

New Delhi: Honor, a sub brand of Huawei recently announced the launch of its new product Honor 9N. With the tag line stating 'Beauty All Around', the phone-maker has invested much in several features like mirror like screen, uninterrupted gaming, safety while riding two-wheelers and a camera good enough to shoot sports events, all at an affordable cost, officials from the firm stated.

Vice president - Sales, Huawei India-Consumer Business Group, P Sanjeev, speaking to News Today, said, "Honor has been termed as the most valuable brand of 2018. It is one of the top five fastest growing brands in India and one of the top two brands in Russia, apart form being the top in China's e-brand section."

He said the company sold three million units of Honor 10, while in India, Honor has sold almost 1 million units of Honor 9 Lite. Actress Bhumi Pednekar was present at the launch event that was held in Delhi.

The phone comes with a Notch display with 19:9 aspect ratio and 79 per cent screen to body ratio. One of the attractive features of the phone is the mirror like effect feature which Honor says is made possible with 12 layers of glass coating.

As per official statements from the phone maker, the 'Notch' display design provides more screen size which is used for displaying additional information like date, time, battery statistics and other apps notifications.

Chief marketing officer, Suhail Tariq, said, "We kept three things in mind while creating this model - Young, Innovative and Trendsetting. In the past six months based on the consumer community responses 30 software updates were made."

Senior marketing head, Clinto Jeff said, "The inspiration behind this phone model is 'The world is your reflection'. The phone comes in four colours, like Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue, Lavender Purple and Robbin Egg Blue."

He also said, "Apart from 16 MP front cameras and 3D Face contouring features, the user can change the image background to add an effect. The background can be changed to an Eiffel Tower even though the picture in clicked here."

For game lovers, the gadget ensures that you can play uninterrupted even if you get an incoming call and even answer it while playing, he said, adding that ensuring safety of two-wheeler riders was a top priority.

Jeff said, "When a person is riding, the phone can be customised to respond to calls and messages. Using the 'Party' mode, the device can sync up to seven Honor devices to play music at the same time." The phone features 3000mAh battery and has a Smart Face Unlock feature.

The phone is exclusive to Flipkart and sale starts at noon on 31 July. Honor 9N buyers can avail 2,200 cash back and 100GB additional data from Reliance Jio.

The model with 3GB RAM 32GB internal space is priced at Rs 11,999 and 4GB RAM 64 GB storage option costs Rs 13,999 and 4GB RAM 128GB storage model is priced at Rs 17,999.

The smartphone maker has presence in 74 markets and has witnessed 150 per cent increase in international sales outside China. Though the phone has global features, it makes sure that it is fit for India. Honor phone brands are manufactured in a plant at Sriperumbadur for the past two years, while it has an Research and Development facility in Bangalore.
