Amaravati / Tirupati: Famous Andhra Pradesh actor Pawan Kalyan has sparked a controversy by posting a senior IPS Officer's statement that Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Balaji's stolen jewels have been taken to Middle East through a private aircraft.

In a series of tweets today, the actor said, "Regarding TTD high priest Ramana Deekshithulu garu's concerns raised about the missing pink diamond and other jewellery of Balaji, the answers given by AP govt are not satisfactory. Why don't they recreate a scene with forensic experts? How that pink diamond has become fragments and gone missing because a devotee threw coins at it? For sure, we will get to know the facts then. Even The old adage as hard as diamond can be put to test."

"According to AP govt’s Balaji’s pink diamond missing theory, any robber in the country can relieve jewellery from idols throwing a handful of coins at them while a procession is going on. Ok. Then what about other missing jewels stored in the vaults," he added.

Posting an IPS officer's statement, he said, "A brief chat with a senior IPS officer whom I had met in Hyderabad airport lounge a few years back revealed some interesting facts about missing jewellery of TTD. Even the Opposition TDP leaders were aware of that fact. According to him, jewellery went to some middle-eastern country in a private aircraft from our country. That's why TTD high priest concerns are not a surprise to me. The robbers must be assuming that Balaji is mute. It's ok to rob him."
