Chennai: Increasing traffic levels, presence of plenty of establishments and offices seem to bother the residents of Bazullah Road at T Nagar in the city. But they still feel proud to reside in one of the most popular streets in the city.
“Once a calm and quite area, our street has become a place of attraction for many over the years,” started Narayanamurthy, a resident here.
“The street was named after the British civil servant, Muhammad Bazullah Sahib Bahadur, and called as Bazullah Road for comfortable and easy pronunciation,” he said.
“After introduction of Rangarajapuram flyover, our street has become congested with more traffic including MTC bus services,” he continued.
The broad road condition with exclusive pavement area help pedestrians and walkers enjoy comfortable movement in the street.
“I love to walk here every day peacefully with near green cover and ample space for movement,” commented Ravishankar, a resident of nearby Thanikachalam Street.
