Manjima Mohan, who shot to fame with Achcham Enbadhu Madamayada, is off to Paris to shoot for the Malayalam remake of the Hindi blockbuster Queen.
Interestingly her next in Tamil is Ippadai Vellum opposite Udhayanidhi Stalin, which will hit screens on 9 November.
A thrilled Manjima, says, “I am happy at the way Ippadai Vellum has shaped up. All credits to my filmmaker Gaurav. It is a commercial entertainer with a string message.”
Asked about her role in the movie, she says, “Unlike other films, the heroine has a major part to play. She comes all through the film from start to finish. I am happy that I had enough opportunity to showcase my acting skills.”
When Gaurav narrated the story to me, I thought this was the movie that I should not miss. My faith was justified when I saw the end product, she says.
On her co-star Udhayanidhi Stalin, Manjima, says, “He is simple and down-to-earth, though he comes from a big family. My comfort level was good on the sets.”
Asked about being part of the Queen remake, Manjima, says, “I am great fan of Kangana. When I was asked to reprise her role in Malayalam, I had no second thoughts. An actress rarely comes across such roles in her career.”
