Chennai: Students should observe the surroundings and find out solution to the existing problem with innovative method, said SRM University dean (Research) B Venkatachalapathy.
Inaugurating Educational Project at SRM Nightingale Matriculation Higher Secondary School here recently, he quoted many incidents on how the initiatives for innovation and inventions are made.
As many as 76 projects were displayed by students in all the subjects. Innovative projects include DC motor – converting electrical energy into mechanical energy, steam power generator, vacuum cleaner, solar air cooler, global warming, brachistockrowel curve, tangent in hair pin bend and Valarum Vadapalani in Tamil.
Addressing the students, SRM University HoD (Chemistry Department) Helen P Kavitha stressed on developing KASH (Knowledge, Attitude, Skill and Habits). She appreciated the management for the opportunity given to the students to exhibit their talents.
The chief guests were impressed by the SRM School app created by CSC students.
