Chennai: The State Election Commission (SEC) today informed the Madras High Court that the local body polls cannot be conducted before April. The statement was made by the SEC in response to a petition filed by social activist ‘Paadam’ Narayanan who filed a case stating that the civic polls should be conducted by April.
