Dhanush starrer Vada Chennai will see the trailer of its first part released on 28 July (on Dhanush's birthday). The movie will be out in September.

Dhanush and Vettrimaran come together after the success of Polladhavan and Aadukalam, which was critically acclaimed and commercially declared a hit.

This would be the first time in Tamil film industry, where a gangster film will release in three parts.

Vada Chennai has a promising cast including Daniel Balaji, Aishwarya Rajesh, Andrea Jeremiah, Samuthirakani among others. Music for the movie is by Santosh Narayanan.

Most of the first part was shot in an elaborate jail set that was erected in Chennai on a lavish budget.

The film also stars filmmaker Ameer in an important role and the rumour has it that this role was originally offered to Vijay Sethupathi, who opted out of the project for reasons unknown. The movie is produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films.

Dhanush tweeted, '#VadaChennai part 1 trailer will be launched on 28th July & the movie will be a September release.'
