"Thodra is based on two real life incidents that shook the northern districts of Tamilnadu recently," says director Madhuraj.

The movie stars veteran actor-filmmaker Pandiarajan's son Prithvirajan in the lead role.

Remember he made his Kollywood debut with Kaivandha Kalai and followed it up with Vaaimai and a cameo in Mupparimaanam. However success has been eluding him for long.

Madhuraj was former associate of K Bhagiyaraj. Newcomer Veena is the heroine and Saravanakumar is the baddie.

The supporting cast comprises director A Venkatesh, Mynaa Susan, Theepetti Ganesan and others. The film is produced by Chandra Saravanakumar.

Says Madhuraj, "My film speaks about contemporary relationships in society and how social strata divides people. It would be an emotional drama like Kadhal."

On his part Prithvirajan, said, "I pin my hopes on Thodra. It will engage audience. Everything will be natural and spontaneous."

Heaping laurels on his filmmaker, he said, "He got the best from everyone of us".

A major portion of the shoot was shot in Pollachi, Krishnagiri and surrounding areas. Uthamaraja, who composed music for Aapthamithra-2 in Kannada, is scoring the music.
