Thalaivar irangi senjurukar, says Dhanush

Rajinikanth's Kaala, directed by Pa Ranjith and bankrolled by Dhanush's Wunderbar is hitting the screens 7 June.

Speaking about Rajinikanth, Dhanush at an award function in Chennai last night, said, "Thalaivar (Rajini) has gone to ‘Thara’ local level - ‘Irangi Senjrukkar’ in Kaala'.

Taking a dig at detractors of Rajinikanth, Dhanush (without dropping any name), said, 'If one man oppose ten people, he is called a hero. But if ten people oppose one man, he is the leader."

The movie also stars Nana Patekar, Samuthirakani, Sampath, Ravi Kale, Sayaji Shinde, Pankaj, Huma Qureshi, Eswari Rao and Arvind Akash.It has music by Santosh Narayanan.

According to Ranjith, "The movie speaks about a man from Tamilnadu, who is settled in Dharavi slums in Mumbai. It is one of the biggest slum in the country. Almost all those who live here doesn't own even a small piece of land, though they work hard day and night. The film talks about this politics. A huge set replicating Dharavi was recreated in Chennai and we shot major portions there."

Advance bookings began ion all screens across Tamilnadu and special early morning shows too have been planned.
