" 'Saamy’was one of the biggest commercial success in my career. ‘Saamy Square’ will recreate that magic,” said actor Vikram.

Speaking at the audio launch of ‘Saamy Square’ in Chennai Monday night, Vikram said,”Working with director Hari is a delight. His dedication and involvement towards his script floored me. He has managed an engrossing entertainer in ‘Saamy Square’.”

The actor has also recorded a song in his own voice for this movie. “After ‘Kandhasamy’, I recorded a song in my own voice for ‘Saamy Square’. All credit to my composer Devi Sri Prasad. He got the best out of me. He makes it look so simple. I wish next time, he gives me an opportunity to sing a melody.”

He also appreciated Bobby Simha who played baddie in the movie.

“He has giving his best. He toned his physique and lost weight for the role,” said Vikram.

Thanking both Keerthy Suresh and Aishwarya Rajesh for their performance in the movie, Vikram said, “I am happy that Shibu Thameens, who successfully distributed ‘Saamy’ in 2003 has turned producer for ‘Saamy Square’.”

On his part, Hari said, “It is not just a cop story but has enough scope for an actor like Vikram to perform.”

Devi Sri Prasad, actors Prabhu, Soori, Ramesh Khanna, actresses Keerthy Suresh, Aishwarya Rajesh, Sumithra among others spoke on the occasion.

A couple of songs (lyrical video) and trailer were screened on the occasion.
