Chennai: Having witnessed an international acclaim for his previous venture Taramani, filmmaker Ram is awaiting the release of his next big flick Peranbu starring Mammootty and Anjali. In the meantime, a news has leaked by close sources of the production house that the album of Peranbu would likely be released on 15 July.

The album scored by Ram's regular, Yuvan Shankar Raja has all songs written by ace lyricist late Na Muthukumar. So, there is a buzz in the industry that a single of the movie would be released on the birth anniversary of Na Muthukumar that falls on 12 July. Ram has always given a special place to Na Muthukumar and Yuvan Shankar Raja in all his movies so far. So, it is expected that the album or a single would be released in the memory of Muthukumar on his birthday.

Peranbu's post-production works were completed by the director long before the release of the director's last movie Taramani. However, the movie is being screened and acclaimed in a number of international film festivals in Europe and Asia since the beginning of this year. The movie is bankrolled by PL Thenappan under his banner Shree Raaja Lakshmi Films.
