Rajini could have played Traffic Ramaswamy

Chennai: The bio-pic on social activist and public interest litigator 'Traffic' Ramaswamy will be hitting the screens this weekend with the same name.

Starring yesteryear veteran filmmaker S A Chandrashekar, the movie is directed by his assistant Vicky.

Nicknamed 'One-Man Army', 'Traffic' Ramaswamy's character has already inspired a lot of filmmakers in the past.

Director Shankar's famous Indian Thaathaa from Indian and Ambi from Anniyan had shades of 'Traffic' Ramaswamy.

Shankar admitted to this fact at the audio launch of the movie Traffic Ramaswamy held recently in Chennai.

The director also said, "However, I had thought of making the life of 'Traffic' Ramaswamy as a movie with Rajinikanth playing the lead. But, this crew surpassed my wish.'

Shankar was one of the first set of assistant directors of S A Chandrashekar.
