Nayanthara deserves all credit: Aramm director

Director Gopi Nayanar's Aramm starring Nayanthara is releasing on 10 November. A visibly thrilled filmmaker says, "It is a movie that speaks against a social issue. Nayanthara plays a District Collector in the movie."

When I narrated the story to my producers, I never thought Nayanthara would play the female lead. Within three hours, she agreed to do it'.

There were attempts from many quarters to stall the movie. But thanks to Nayanthara's commitment, I was able to complete it. All credit should go to her'.

Initially there were no songs in the movie. However after watching the film, we thought a song would do more justice. Thanks to Ghibran for his wonderful tunes and Umadevi for the lyrics'.

Dwelling further about the movie, he says, 'It is a much-needed story to be told in the context of various problems that are face in the society.'

Shooting was a big challenge for us. Braving hot weather, we managed to complete the film, he adds.
