'Kadaikutty Singam' will take us back to village life

Chennai: Karthi's Kadaikutty Singam is all set to hit theaters in a couple of months.

The movie is about the significance of agriculture. At the audio launch event on Monday, the actor told reporters that the film will bring take a lot of urban population back to villages and make them involve in agriculture.

He said, "Director Pandiraj has created 28 characters for this movie, each of them is unique by their own way. I was simply surprised by that." The movie is bankrolled by Suriya under his 2D Entertainment banner.

"I never thought that I will act in a movie produced by my brother. This is the first time we have worked together," Karthi said.

Suriya when speaking about the movie said, "This flick has a lot of emotional scenes and I am proud to say that none of the actors have used glycerine in the movie. This is something that is because of their true dedication towards the movie and work."

He also hinted that he will soon join with Karthi on screen for a movie.

Later, when Sivakumar addressed the gathering, he said, "This would be one of the most memorable days in my life. Suriya has produced a movie with his uncle Sathyaraj in the cast. And Karthi is the hero. What else will make me happy?"

The movie is written and directed by Pandiraj and music is by D Imman. Along with Karthi, the movie also has Sathyaraj, Soori, Sayyesha, Priya Bavani Shankar and Banupriya in the cast
