Chennai: "Adult comedy horror is a popular genre abroad. Though there would be criticisms from a few, we are confident that Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuthu (IAMK)  would do well at the box office,' says filmmaker Santosh P Jayakumar.

IAMK will hit the screens on 4 May. Gautham Karthick and Vaibhavi Shandilya play lead roles. Shah Ra, Yaashika Aanand, Chandrika Ravi, Karunakaran, Rajendran, Bala and 'Jangiri' Madhumitha are also in the cast.

Addressing media persons, Santosh P Jayakumar, said, "I want everyone to see a movie as movie and not relate it with reality. It is an adult comedy movie and not porn. This genre popular in Hollywood and as well as Bollywood. It is new to Tamil cinema. After Hara Hara Mahadevaki, IAMK is another attempt at adult comedy."

"We completed the shoot in quick time thanks to the co-operation of cast and crew."

On his part, Gautham Karthick said, "We have tried to entertain masses with the movie. It is spread with humour all through. Even my father (veteran actor Karthick) is waiting to watch this movie."

The film is based on some incidents that happen in a house in Thailand, and has extensively been shot there, Chennai, and other foreign locations. The ghost in the film is a virgin and how it attacks boys to fulfill its desires forms the crux of the story.

Produced by KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green, GK Prasanna is the editor while Balamurali Bala is in charge of the music.
