Known for his docu-drama Kollidam that spoke about the life of Nari Kuravar community, filmmaker Nesam Murali is up with his next Kapilavasthu.

"The movie is about the shelterless people who are living along the roadside platforms across the nation," Murali told reporters recently.

It is shot in various urban and semi-urban regions of the country including Chennai, Mumbai, and Shirdi.

"The main reason for choosing Shirdi is because most of the orphaned or single parent babies are left on platforms only in spiritual towns," he added.

The movie will hit screens in July and will have an eight-year-old Iswarya in the lead.

"In India, at least 30 lakh people are living along platforms of which Mumbai has the largest population. So, we have set our climax in Mumbai. It would be an engaging docu-drama," he added.

Produced under his own banner Buddha Films, the movie has music by Srikanth Deva and Cinematography by Viji.
