In the second eviction process in reality show, Bigg Boss 2 Tamil, there were heated arguments, twists and turns. Contestants - Balaji, Ananth Vaidyanathan, Ponnambalam and Nithya - were nominated for eviction.

Among them, Ananth Vaidyanathan was sent out of the game.

This week, the game included the most expected jail task. Actor and host of the show, Kamal Haasan, asked the evicted contestant, Ananth Vaidyanathan, to choose one of the contestants to be put in 'jail' by giving an appropriate reason for it.

Ananth chose actor Ponnambalam as the contestant who should be put behind 'bars'. He said some of the comments given by the actor were inappropriate and wrong. So, he said, he chose Ponnambalam.

What did Ponnambalam say?

Prior to the eviction process, the four contestants nominated for elimination were asked to register their point of view about the show. During that time, Ponnambalam said, "We have a culture for our State and we should preserve it. This is a family show with children watching it across the globe. So, we should give them a show with good quality." He was indirectly referring to the incidents that had taken place in the Bigg Boss house last week.

Contestants Aishwarya and Yashika Anand were seen in the men's section with Shariq Hassan and Mahat, sitting on the bed and chatting late into the night.

Without analysing why Ponnambalam had reacted the way he had, Ananth Vaidyanathan linked it to feminism and said the women know what they are doing.

Due to misinterpretation, Ananth said he wished to see Ponnambalam shut in the prison for the way he had spoken to the women.

However, the housemates, except Yashika Anand and Aishwarya, disagreed with the move and requested Bigg Boss not to shut out Ponnambalam. Usually, the show gets over as soon as the eviction is done and a brief chat with the evicted contestant. But, as a turning point, Kamal resumed the show by saying that he does not go with Ananth's decision on Ponnambalam. However, he said this was his stand but Bigg Boss will be the deciding authority, and ended the show.

After this, Ponnambalam got into the jail. There will be an iron cot and not even a fan. He has to stay, eat and sleep all alone, just like a jailed inmate. The contestant is being jailed for two days and one night, and will then be released.
