Chennai: Gossips, banter, fight, dejection, anger and agony for 100 days inside a huge house. And finally emerged a winner. It was Bigg Boss Tamil season one last year.

In less than 24 hours begins season 2. The popular reality show on Vijay TV hosted by actor Kamal Haasan kicks off this Sunday. A new house, different set of inmates and intense emotions are on cards.

With Oviya craze still to come down and her army of ardent fans discussing about her in social media even months after the first part, the season 2 is expected to garner more attention.

Catchy & Colourful

A huge house has been set up at a studio on Bengaluru - Chennai National Highway.

Being the second edition, participants must be aware of what the rules are to stay there.

As one enters the colourfully-lit palatial set, one is welcomed by a lush green lawn, a swimming pool and seats arranged at different corners.

The house has a huge living room painted in different colours. But for few minor changes, the structure remains the same. The USP seems to be the choice of colours.

The chairs in the dining table are of different hues while the sofa on which the contestants sit to interact with Kamal Haasan is in eye-catchy fluorescent yellow.

The bedrooms where women contestants stay is painted with pink while men have their walls blue.

Jail birds this time

A huge room resembling a prison at one corner of the house kindles curiosity. An additional feature to be introduced this year, it is expected to be a punishment zone.

Though it was there in Hindi and Telugu version of the show, this is being introduced for the first time here.

Barking dog

Speakers have been kept at various places in the house not just to wake up the contestants with a song every morning but also for the the barking dog. It will continue to haunt those inmates who fall asleep during the day just like the first edition. The eye-catching props including an illuminated bicycle and more sit-outs catch the attention instantly. Another interesting aspect is that the restroom has been provided only in the women’s bedroom, while a common toilet can be seen in a corner of the house like last time. Sources say there will be many more interesting tasks for the inmates this time and most of them will be innovative.

Rules & regulations

The inmates are not permitted to talk in any other language than Tamil. They are not supposed to tamper with any of the electronic equipment or any other thing in the house.

They cannot leave the house premises  except when permitted to. They cannot discuss the nomination process with anyone. They cannot sleep in day time. If something is very serious, a contestant may be evicted directly, while the normal elimination process is also there.

Kamal's special

Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan, who is hosting the show, has said that he will use every opportunity that the entertainment industry has to provide him to reach out to people of Tamilnadu with his message.

'Bigg Boss show gives me a wonderful opportunity to go inside the house of millions of people. And I will make use of it to tell what I want to tell them.'

And the inmates are...

Names of several film personalities were reported in sections of media as inmates for this season. However the likes of actresses Rai Laxmi and Sneha have denied being part of the show. Buzz is that film celebrities 'Powerstar' Srinivasan and Mumtaz may walk inside the Bigg Boss Season 2 house.
