Chennai: DMK working president M K Stalin has announced that his party supports the no-confidence motion moved by the Telugu Desam Party in the Lok Sabha. The motion will be taken up for discussion tomorrow.

Stalin also urged the AIADMK government to do the same and reasoned that the Central government was giving step-motherly treatment to Tamilnadu.

He said he would meet Governor Banwarilal Purohit 23 July to discuss the political developments in the State.

Speaking about the Chennai-Salem Expressway, he said he was not surprised at Rajinikanth's support for the Tamilnadu government. The actor-politician had recently thrown his weight behind the government on the issue and said he was convinced about its need for the progress of the State.
