Chennai: Tamilnadu Congress Committee president  S Thirunavukarasar has charged Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan with having insulted Tamils.

Radhakrishnan had recently said no political party in Tamilnadu was qualified to select the Prime Minister of India. This was in reaction to DMK leader Durai Murugan having said party president M K Stalin would decide who would be the next Prime Minister of India.

This is threatening to snowball into a major controversy with Radhakrishnan decrying the statement. TNCC president Thirunavukarasar has taken exception to Radhakrishnan's observation and called it an insult to Tamils.

Speaking to reporters at Chennai airport, Thirunavukarasar said people will give a fitting reply to the BJP during the coming elections, for the abnormal rise in fuel prices.
