Chennai: Even before parents could let out a sigh of relief, here comes another molestation allegation in a private school at Kolapakkam, near Mangadu.

Nearly 200 parents blocked the school gate today, claiming that two van attendants had been indulging in sexually molesting LKG and UKG students.

It is learnt that Bhaskar (48), one of the attendants, used to take LKG and UKG students in the van. Yesterday, a UKG student complained to her parents that the van attendant was misbehaving with her.

The child's parent, who was shocked, asked other parents who send their children by the same van, to enquire with their children also. When all the children said 'yes' while asked about the attendant’s behaviour, the parents marched to the school today.

Talking to ‘News Today’, a parent whose 8-year-old kid studies there, says, 'The news is really shocking for us. Although my child is not a victim, I feel so bad for the other kids. They do not even know what they are going through. How can the management appoint such criminals? We want the school to take responsibility and fire them. The police should immediately look into the case.'

Another parent, whose child also studies here, says, 'I changed my child's school this year. We heard that the school's teaching method and educational quality is good and so we opted for this school. But , this news is heart-breaking and we will continue to protest until proper action is taken against the perpetrators.'

The Mangadu police are now investigating the case and talking to the parents and school management.

'Currently, we are looking into the case and yet to talk to the children,' said a police official.

Recently, a 23-year-old techie, Dashvanth, raped and murdered a 7-year-old girl. He has now been given death sentence. Parents in the area are a worried lot now and demand strong punishment for the criminals.
