Chennai: Interesting and moving placards are coming up near Kauvery Hospital where ailing DMK president M Karunanidhi is undergoing treatment.

Two young children, dressed in karai veshti, were seen holding placards.

One of the placards, attributed to the Mazhalayar Ani of the DMK, says, "Vaa, vaa, vaa. Engal thalaimurayai aala vaa (Come to rule our generation)."

The second placard says, "Engal munnorgalai kathitta thatha, engal thalaimurayai kathida va, (You protected our forefathers, Grandpa, come to protect our generation)."

The children hold the placards in one hand and show the DMK rising sun symbol with the other.

A youth was seen holding up a yellow placard that had an interesting observation.

It read in Tamil that you (Karunanidhi) opposed the Emergency brought in by Indira Gandhi in 1976. What can the Kauvery Hospital emergency (where he is being treated) do to you?
