Chennai: Season 2 of Tamil Bigg Boss, hosted by actor Kamal Haasan, has once again received  flak from Hindutva organisations across the nation.

The Hindu Makkal Katchi in the city is staging a protest against the show and Vijay TV channel today at Jagannathan Salai junction by 11 am.

The intimate scenes being telecast has triggered the protest - particularly the acts of Yashika Aanand, Aishwarya Dutta, Mahat Raghavendra and Shariq Hassan are highly sensitive and not recommended for children to view, says the party.

The protest will be led by S R Kumaravelu, State secretary, and Ganapathy Ravi, State organisation chairman.

Talking about the protest that will see the participation of 100 people, Ganapathy Ravi said: "The protest is not new in the State. We raised our voices during the first season and once again we are doing now. Protesting in front of Kamal Haasan’s house is also on the cards."

"This show is purely for TRP and it demeans family life. The content misleads children and youngsters and we want the show to be banned," added Ganapathy.

"Talks are going on with the police and we recommend that the Centre cancel the channel’s licence, if it doesn’t happen, we plan to stage a protest all over the nation," commented Ganapathy.
