Chennai: One of the most important qualities of an entrepreneur is perseverance and never-say-die attitude, said co-founder and CEO of Amelio Childcare Pvt Ltd, Sridevi Raghavan.

She was speaking at the screening of the documentary film 'She Started It' which was followed by a discussion at the US Consulate in Chennai on Wednesday in the run-up to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) 2017.

Sridevi said being an entrepreneur was not easy and it required a lot of hard work and dedication.

"Success is a one-time achievement and before reaching that there will be several failures and you have to overcome that. An entrepreneur should be able to convince the investor that their idea will work and be a game-changer," she added.

The documentary film, 'She Started It', screened, is about women tech entrepreneurs and aims to highlight successful role models for young women.

The movie follows the life of five women over two years as they pitch VCs, build teams, bring products to market, fail and start again.

The governments of India and the United States are hosting the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES 2017) in Hyderabad from 28-30 November in which more than 1,500 entrepreneurs from India, the United States and other parts of the world are expected to participate.
