Chennai: About 25 pilgrims from Tamilnadu are stranded in Nepal due to inclement weather.

According to reports quoting one of the pilgrims, totally about 200 Indian pilgrims are stranded in Nepal due to the weather.

The Tamilnadu pilgrim, who spoke to a private Tamil TV channel, said they were all safe but needed to be rescued.

A group of pilgrims from Namakkal, Tirupur and Coimbatore in Tamilnadu had gone on the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage to Nepal.

With the weather turning bad, they have been stranded at a place called Simikot in Nepal. The pilgrim further said only Army helicopters will be able to rescue them.

In July, a similar situation prevailed with many Tamils being stranded in Nepal due to bad weather conditions.
