AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

A different action

To match the expectation of his die-hard fans, Captain's films have always reeled out an overdose of action scenes. But at the end of it all, there will be sound message in every film of Vijayakanth to ponder for long.

Sabari (Vijayakanth, Jyothiramyi)
His forthcoming release Sabari is filled with some breath-taking stunts and fight scenes. Unlike masala flicks, Sabari has a strong message, says director Suresh. The director's earlier ventures, Gambeeram and Arasu were fully-packed action movies and Sabari too will be no different.

Produced by Salem Chandrasekharan, Sabari is all set for release. Malayalam actress Jyothirmayi, who acted opposite Sundar C in Thalainagaram, will pair up as heroine with Vijayakanth in this film, while Malavika plays the second fiddle to the protagonist. For the first time music composer Mani Sharma is doing a Vijayakanth movie and he is expected to come out with peppy tunes to meet the taste of the masses.

'Sabari will be a different film for me. The story impressed me a lot and that's why I accepted the project. The movie would be an extension of my earlier movies Vallarasu and Ramana,' says Vijayakanth.

In a nutshell, the film deals with the problems and challenges of doctors, especially in multispeciality clinics and five-star like hospitals. According to Suresh, the film is tailor-made to suite Captain's mass appeal and image as it will go way to entertain both his fans and movie-buffs alike.

'Vijayakanth has not done the role of a doctor in any of his films. This doctor has solutions not only for patients but for society as well. The movie does not feature Vijayakanth mouthing punch dialogues, but will portray him as an intelligent doctor who cares for the society at large,' explains Suresh. The movie is shot at scenic locales in Chennai, Puducherry, Rameswaram and Jaipur.

Thanking Chandrasekharan for giving him enough liberty during the shoot, Suresh says, 'both Vijayakanth and the producer were cooperative. This is a big budget movie as we have made it a lavish spend keeping in mind the huge fan-following for the actor. I am confident that the movie will reach the masses and leave an impact in the society.'

In spite of his tight political schedule, Vijayakanth turned up for shootings on time, thus helping to complete the film within schedule, the director pats the Captain.
