Yaradi Nee Mohini was an all-time hit song, made popular by the classic acts of 'Chevalier' Sivaji Ganesan and Padmini in the evergreen movie Uthamaputhiran. A film titled on those lines is only to be expected in an era where the yesteryear movies and old hits are getting a new coating.
The pairing of Dhanush and Nayantara has evinced interest, more so with the actress returning to Kollywood after considerable gap. Having had her share of row with Simbhu in denying the supposed intimacy, Nayantara made Hyderabad as her base.
Once through with her commitments in Telugu, she is back in a language very dear to her heart. Only the other day, Nayantara studiously avoided the lensmen who had gathered in numbers at Prasad Studios, decked up in a grandeur way for the early days of the shoot. Hyderabad, Pollachi and parts of Kerala are the other venues with songs to be canned in Italy.
Director Mithran Jawahar said the treatment will be light hearted laced with sentiments to be bracketed as family drama.
The supporting cast has Karunas, Manobala, Rajan Dev and 'Kanda Naal Mudhal' Karthik. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja set to N Muthukumar's lyrics.
The other credits are: Siddarth (Cinematography); Dinesh (Dance); Santhanam (Art) and Selvaraghavan (Story, screenplay and dialogues).
The movie is produced by Vimala Geetha for R K Productions Limited, known for hits like Thuluvadho Ilamai, Kadhal Kondein and Thiruvilayadal Arambam.
