Kamalinee Mukherjee had her part to play in the success of Vettayadu Vilayadu. She deemed it as a windfall to be paired with Kamal Haasan and directed by Gautham in her maiden Tamil venture.

The Bengali girl moved over to Mumbai to do her workshop in theatre when Phir Milenge happened. Before venturing into Tamil, she had a profitable stint in Telugu. Anand, Godavari and Style catapulted her to instant fame.

Off to a good start this year is Kamalinee, walking away with honours in the Malayalam movie Classmates. Having taken a strong liking to South Indian films, her desire is to act in all languages.

After the unforgettable start with Kamala, Kamalinee is paired with Cheran, an actor known for his quality of films in daring to be different. Titled Pirivom Sandipom, the movie is directed by Karu Palaniappan.

A movie to move the masses is the aim of director. 'You will find the treatment of love sublime different from the book written by Sujatha. Vidyasagar's music will be the life and soul.'
