        Known for saleability value as a director, Sundar C dabbled in an untried area and came out trumps. With the audience verdict going in his favour as an actor in Thalainagaram, Sundar had a fleet of opportunities coming his way from reputed banners.

        Sundar had a commitment to fulfil as director before slipping into the shoes of an actor again. Rendu was a typical one to emerge from his stable, qualifying as a romantic entertainer. Sundar plays the unconventional lorry driver in the unlikely name of Pulipandi in Veerappu.

        Paired with Gopika, the romantic interludes look more to be on the relaxed lines, like the time Sundar hit it off with Jothirmayee. The cast has Prakash Raj, Vivek, Delhi Kumar and Tejashree among others. With Tirunelveli as the base, shooting has progressed on brisk lines, said director Badri, handling the screenplay and dialogues.
