Parthiban on the write lane

After Azhagi, actor-director Parthiban plays a writer again in Ammuvagiya Naan. Confined to small-time roles, a major break awaits actress Bharathi, who plays the title role in the movie. According to the director Pargavan, 'the thrust has been on the conflict of the common man in his fight for social justice.'

Understandably, Bharathi is excited at the rare opportunity and the experience of working with an actor of Parthiban's range.

'I have strong reasons to feel that the movie would bring me lots of fame. Realism is the key word in my character with focus on the dialect. I vibed well with Parthiban, whose support helped me to understand meanings to my character. I am keenly awaiting the release.'

Parthiban was all praise for Pargavan. 'When I was looking out for a good story line, Pargavan approached me with Ammuvagiya Naan. It's a revolutionary storyline and it is sure to win accolades.'

Pargavan's debut film Pallavan turned a disaster at the box-office. However he is optimistic that Ammuvagiya Naan would make amends. 'The movie is a good blend of arts and commercial aspects and would be lapped up by the movie-lovers', says the director.

The other credits are: Sabesh-Murali (music); Palani Bharathi and Surulirajan (lyrics) and M S Prabhu (cinematography).
