        Veteran actor Murali, who carved a niche for himself in Tamil cinema, is crossing a milestone now.

        The actor will complete a century in the tinsel town soon. He will commence shooting for his 100th film.

        Titled Karanam, it is directed by Vaseegaran. Introduced by Ameerjan in Poovilangu about a couple of decades ago, Murali had come a long way rendering several hit films.

        Karanam features debutante Nivedha opposite him. Nizhalgal Ravi, Thalaivasal Vijay, Sreeman are also in the cast. Music is by Srikanth Deva while A Sivamani handles cinematography.

        Vaseegaran who had worked with directors like Agathiyan, Manivasagan among others, has penned the story, screenplay and songs besides directing the movie. Karanam will go to floors this October. The movie produced by S K Vijayan will be shot in Chennai, Nagercoil, Tiruchi.
