This is now the season of yesteryear heroines staging a comeback.

Setting the ball rolling was Nadhiya, a charming heroine of Tamil cinema in 1980's. Returning to silver screen she hogged the limelight in M Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi and the recent Thamirabarani.
National award winning actresses Archana, Shobana and Revathy have donned the grease paint again. Archana plays Dhanush's mother in Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram.
Shobana and Revathy are into Malayalam. The former plays Mammooty's wife in Ore Kadal, while the latter is the heroine of director Nishad's Nagaram. It's a movie bringing to light the problems faced by women in society.
The news is of Thenrale Ennai Thodu -fame Jayashree nursing ambitions of returning to big screen. Cousin of actress Sukanya, Jayashree fondly recalled the experience of working with director Sridhar and paired with the successful actor Mohan.
In her second innings, so to say, Jayashree will be pleased to be part of projects which has family values. She does not carry regrets of having to leave the industry at her prime time, beckoned by the wedding call.
With the field wide open thanks to the emergence of new talents, Jayashree is looking forward to play her part.
