        After Veyil became a resounding hit, the title seems to have caught the people's  fancy. Debutante Raja is wielding the megaphone for a movie titled Manjal Veyyil. Prasanna and Sandhya come together for the movie. Vivek adds to the comedy element, while Nasser and Nizhalgal Ravi are also in the cast.

        Supposedly a romantic entertainer, Manjal Veyyil has musical score by Bharadwaj.

        Says director Raja, a former associate of Adhiyaman, 'Manjal Veyyil will showcase true love and lovers. The movie will be a feast for today's lovers. Predominantly a campus-love story, it will record sweet little things that one encounters in his or her youth. I had lifted real incidents from my own life to weave the screenplay. At the same time, the story will be not be a simple love subject. May be this is an usual love story with some unusual feel.'

        Expressing his gratitude to his mentor Adhiyaman, Raja says in the early days of tutelage under his master, he learnt the art of perfection and dedication from him.

        In this film, Prasanna has changed his hairstyle for the movie and sports a vibrant and radiant looks. 'Manjal Veyyil deals about friendship and love with college as its backdrop. I was attracted by the script when Raja narrated the story to me. I hope to deliver my best in it ,' says Prasanna. According to him, 'after Five Star, I didn't get an offer to play a college-boy role. For the first time I am cast in the role of a romantic action hero.' Manjal Veyyil is produced by Syed and cinematography is by D Anandhakumar. Pa Vijay has penned the lyrics.
