        Critically acclaimed Marathi film Dombivili Fast turned out to be a huge commercial grosser. Part of many international film festivals, the movie captured a record 24 State awards including the one for best film, best actor and best director.

        Well past its silver jubilee, the film is having an extended run in and around Maharashtra. The cheerful news is in the movie being remade in Tamil.

        Abbas Mastan (Baazigar and Soldierfame) along with K Chera Chera are the producers while director Nishanth is entrusted the job for the Tamil version too.

        Titled Evano Oruvan,the movie stars Madhavan and Sangeetha in lead roles. In an interesting move, Madhavan has penned the dialogues, the thrust on Tamil nativity and milieu.

        Sangeetha's role is reported to be in sharp contrast to the one, where she gave life and soul, shooting her to overnight fame in Uyir.

        Madhavan dons the character of Sridhar Vasudevan, a commoner with a humble background. Having progressed at a silent and surprising pace, plans are on for a Tamil New Year release. Onus is on director Seeman to finetune the dialogues of Madhavan.

        The aesthetically designed promos have already generated interest for all. Sanjay Jadhav's cinematography and the art work of R K Nagu are the other highlights.
