AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

In his dad's shoes

Manoj K Bharathy, son of veteran director Bharathiraja, will venture to direct a movie soon. He started his career as an assistant to his father in movies including Thamizhselvan, Andhi Mandharai and Pasumpon.

After a stint in a film institute in USA, Manoj tried his hands at acting playing the lead role in several movies like Taj Mahal, Varushamellam Vasantham, Alli Arjuna, Era Nilam and Pallavan.

Though offers came his way, Manoj is determined to leave his mark as a successful director.

'Having watched my father wielding the megaphone in close quarters, I learnt the nuances of direction. I admired the way he extracted work from his artistes. Been in USA for a while, I was exposed to several international films. I am ready and raring to go now. Soon my maiden directorial venture will kick off'.

He asserts that his movie would be different from that of his father. 'It would be technically brilliant and match international standards', he adds.
