The show titled Endrendrum Raja, being organised by Jaya TV, will feature musicians flown from abroad for the show exclusively. Jaya TV had run special contests for the show and announced the winners on Friday.
Speaking about the concert, Ilayaraja says, ' it would be a concert with difference. I am student of music and I am still learning.'
Thanking Jaya TV, he says, 'It would be a bigger concert that the one we did six years ago. There are many surprising elements lined up this time'.
An avid-fan of Ilayaraja says, 'I am eagerly awaiting the concert. He was one of the earliest Indian film composers to use Western classical music harmonies and string arrangements in Indian film music. This allowed him to craft a rich tapestry of sounds for films, and his themes and background score gained notice and appreciation.
The range of expressive possibilities in Indian film music was broadened by Ilayaraja's methodical approach to arranging, recording technique, and his drawing of ideas from a diversity of musical styles.'
