Probably it is for the first time Kiran Bedi, known for her uprightness has been roped in for a Kollywod event. The first set of CDs was released by Kiran Bedi which was received by ace filmmaker Murugadoss.

Speaking on the occasion Kiran Bedi said, 'Normally I keep away from such filmy functions. Two decades ago, I gave the first clap to a Telugu film Karthavyam where actress Vijayashanthi played an honest woman cop. Like how Karthavyam made it big at the box-office, I am confident that Vitthagan, which is also about a police officer will succeed'.

Speaking on the occasion, 'Parthiepan If you see our National Emblem, there are four lions standing back to back with a serious face. Had there been one more lion with a smiling face, it ought to be none other than Kiran Bedi'.

On his part, Manickam Narayanan said, 'Kiran Bedi was supposed to do a cameo in his film. There is crucial scene where we wanted to rope in .Bedi who would appear herself. She also gave us a day’s call sheet, but unfortunately she could not make it'.
