After Mani Ratnam, one more MBA graduate, is all set to make her entry in Kollywood as filmmaker.

Nandini, a former associate of Kanda Naal Muthal-fame Priya, is wielding the megaphone for Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru (T4), being produced jointly by Satyam Cinemas and Real Image.
Nandini, also a gold medalist from Adyar Film Institute, says, ‘T4 is a light- hearted romantic comedy. It’s a challenge to do a movie in digital format. And I thank my producers for giving me that opportunity.’

Shot with state-of-the-art Red One camera, the features Anjathae- fame Ajmal, Bangalore girl Rupa Manjeri, Mouli and Lakshmi Ramakrishnan in the lead. Music is by Mani Sharma while the lyrics are penned by Yuga Bharathi and Lalith Anand.

Speaking about the film, she says, ‘I have a penchant for homour. Hence when I decided to start my first film, I wanted it to be a lighthearted one.

T4 is about two colleagues who are of extremely opposite natures coming together to rescue their boss, who finds himself in a spot of bother’.

‘Ajmal has acted in serious roles in Anjathae and TN 09 AL 4777. In T4, he plays a callous youth who is fun-loving. Rupa Manjeri is a new face from Bangalore. She has played her part well.’

It is a romantic story laced with comedy. But real love blossoms between the lead pair only after the interval, she says. Cinema is a medium to entertain masses. But it should be healthy.

Hopefully I will do my best to give quality entertainers in my forthcoming films, she says. ‘I have a grouse that women are not depicted in a realistic manner in Tamil cinema. But T4 does show them in good light, she adds.

T4 will hit the screens next month, she adds.
