Debutant Vasseegaran, a former associate of K S Adhiyaman, is ready with his maiden venture Manjal Veyyil. Prasanna and Sandhya come together for the movie.

Supposedly a romantic entertainer,  Manjal Veyyil has a musical score by Bharadwaj. Pa Vijay has penned the lyrics.

Says Vasseegaran: ‘Manjal Veyyil will showcase true love. The movie will be a feast for today’s lovers. Predominantly a campus-love story, it will record sweet little things that one encounters in his or her youth.

I had lifted incidents from my own life to weave the screenplay. At the same time, the story will be not be a simple subject on love.’

Expressing his gratitude to his mentor Adhiyaman, Raja says that in the early days of tutelage under his master, he learnt the art of perfection and dedication from him.

‘Manjal Veyyil deals about friendship and love in a college backdrop. I was impressed with the script when the director narrated the story to me. I hope to deliver my best ,’ says Prasanna.

Says Sandhya: ‘I loved the way the theme about friendship has been handled in the film, especially the manner in which all had been packaged.’ Expressing confidence that her meaty role in this film will be appreciated by the masses, she is optimistic that the characters played by her co-stars Prasanna and Bala will also remembered along with hers.

Sandhya, besides playing a prominent role, has crooned for a song in the movie.  She says, ‘When director Vasseekaran asked me to sing a song in the film, I thought he was joking and I was reluctant even when he insisted that I sing.’

‘But the credit goes to the director and the music director, who gave me so many ideas and inputs and got the right kind of output’, says Sandhya. Manjal Veyyil will hit the screen later this month.
