Two men threatened to commit suicide by jumping from a cell phone tower after hearing the news of LTTE chief Prabhakaran’s death. The incident took place near Villupuram yesterday.

Police who reached the spot convinced the duo for over an hour and brought them down. The duo were identified as Janardhanan (26) and Ramamurthy (37).

Police said, Janardhanan and Ramamurthy climbed the 150-feet tall cell phone tower and informed the crowd gathered near the tower that they have decided to end their life condemning the killing of Prabhakaran.

Later policemen came to the spot and brought the men down.
